Danilo Kiš: Memories, recollections
From the current time perspective and a new perspective the TV movie “Danilo Kiš – memories and recollections” examines life and legacy of Serbian, European and world literature crated by one of the most important artists of the second half of the twentieth century .
The basis of the film consists of statements of friends, contemporaries, connoisseurs of his works from various generations, writers that Kiš encountered with during his stay in France, people who Kiš met with during his travels and literary events, publishers and translators.
The statements and excerpts from interviews with the author, preserved in the archives of the Programme of RTS, illuminates this extraordinary figure who has influenced many cultures and countless artists – and anyone with a sensitivity to art and humanity.
After the screening of the film, an interview with the author was led by prof. Svetlana Slapšak.
