Fotografska razstava na prostem v prestonicah Slovenije in Srbije

Razstavo so pripravili Srbski kulturni center Danilo Kiš in Centar za kulturnu dekontaminaciju v Beogradu s pomočjo Ministrstva za kulturo Republike Slovenije, Mestne občine Ljubljana in Turizma Ljubljana.

120 fotografij, ki jih je belgijski fotograf Jim Sumkay posnel v Beogradu in Ljubljani pričarajo vsakdanje življenje obeh mest. Mesti, ki ju sicer povezujeta skupna zgodovina in bogata kulturna izmenjava, je avtor prvič obiskal junija 2010 in ju ujel v objektiv svoje kamere. Zanimalo nas je, kako „tretje oko“ vidi utrip obeh mest, podobe urbanosti, predvsem pa primarno pričo sodobne zgodovine – človeški obraz.

Fotografije so bile razstavljene v parku Tivoli v Ljubljani ter na Kalemegdanskem parku v Beogradu tekom 2010 in 2011.

Jim Sumkay je svetovno znan “anonimni” belgijski fotograf, ki dokumentira vsakdan v črno-beli tehniki. Izven Belgije je razstavljal v Parizu, Berlinu, Havani, Kijevu in New Orleansu, praviloma s plakati v urbanih prostorih, redkeje v galerijah.
