Seventy-five writers from Slovenia, Croatia, and Serbia have exclusively created brand-new short stories for this app at the invitation of three editors. The stories have been translated into five languages, including sign language, and interpreted by professional actors. For each story, a unique musical and sound background has been created, taking the listener into the world of storytelling.

These unique stories can only be heard while walking through Ljubljana, Zagreb, or Belgrade. All you need to do is download the free Slavic Soundwalking app to your smartphone from the Google Play or the Apple App Store. After installation, enable access to geolocation services, and as you pass certain points in the city, the app will automatically activate and begin playing the stories. Slavic Soundwalking invites you to put on your headphones, step outside, and discover carefully selected paths where literature intertwines with urban sounds.

As you walk through city streets, your surroundings are transformed by the power of stories. This innovative platform combines physical activity with cultural exploration, offering a new way to experience literature and sound. At the same time, it contributes to the creation of modern South Slavic audio-literary heritage.

The following creators will share their experiences with the Slavic Soundwalking project: Jelena Remetin, app creator, visual artist, and head of the art organization YELO from Zagreb; Saša Tabaković, film and theater actor; Suzana Tratnik, editor, writer, and translator; and Biljana Žikić, radio journalist (Radio Prvi RTV SLO, Radio Študent) and head of the Danilo Kiš Cultural Center. After the conversation, they will take you on a sound walk through the streets of Ljubljana.
